2/2/2023

Tux is the official mascot of the Linux operating system. It is a penguin character that was created by Larry Ewing in 1996. The name "Tux" is derived from (T)orvalds (U)ni(X), after Linus Torvalds, the creator of Linux. Tux has become one of the most recognizable symbols of open source software and the Linux community. He appears on numerous logos, merchandise, and as the boot-up logo for many Linux distributions.
